I am always working on marketing, promoting Cyprus Marketing Solutions, Cyprus101 website, ourselves and of course all of the great Cyprus properties for sale that we have listed. This task is not an easy one. I would say that it’s very difficult to get people to find you in between the thousands of other choices. It is a never-ending and constantly evolving field. An element that even makes it more difficult is the ability to measure the efforts or the lack of it. As new technology is introduced, so are new methods and tools at your disposal. The trick is to find them and then make them work in order to be successful.

I have been selling Cyprus property for 3 years now and I would say that I came into the business at the end of it’s peak and the worst time to enter. I would also say that selling property on an island to people from a country that is four hours or more away by plane is not an easy thing to do, especially with never having been there.   

I was told once that I need to stop joining so many Internet social sites. The person said that when I invited them to join Twitter. I was shocked because it came from who I thought was a web-savvy blogger with a lot of general knowledge about marketing. I realized that for me the internet was more than just emails and socializing or keeping up with the sports or whatever non-marketing people enjoys.  For me, I have to constantly crawl the web and join all networks such as: Facebook, Linkedin, Digg, Stumbleupon, Sphinn, Technorati, Stumbleupon and many, many more, hoping to find the next best thing to get exposure before my competition does. It is my job to look for the benefit each site shows for my efforts and whether to continue to be a member and learn more about their offers and system or just ditch them all together.

There are some that are more easily accessible than others and some that are just a pain to navigate. For example this post was inspired by Technorati who in order for them to verify that I am the author of this blog I must place a code within a recent post. The code is FPPGR5CCRBWA and once this post is published I will click on a button in my account to inform them so they can verify it and then my blog will be a part of their web and I hopefully will get some love from their robots as well as the other bloggers out their. It’s things like this and many more that I work on and then finally try to gage the results.

I have found that even with all the new technolgy and changes, one principal remains timeless and that is that you will only get out of something what you put into it.  My passion for what I do will drive me forward to reaching my goal. At least for now it seems that I must be on the right track because business is good!

Great Idea for a Product Launch!


If you are involved in product creation you could take a lesson from rabbits and rats.

I know I can just imagine you scratching your head as you wonder what furry creatures have to do with product creation. Both of these animals were designed to be productive when it comes to the number of offspring they can have.

For instance the rabbit can mate by three months of age. Their gestation period is slightly more than a month and they can have as many as 12 kits in each liter. They can also live up to twelve years of age. By the way if you were curious a rabbit is lagomorphs while the rat is a rodent.

A female rat can begin to reproduce as early as 35 days of age. These rodents can also have as many as 12 pups and multiple annual litters. Unlike the rabbit a rat will generally live just 2-3 years, but could have a few hundred offspring and preside over many generations of rats during that time.

So what can a lagomorphs and a rodent teach us about product creation? Simply put these two creatures teach us that more may be better.

Thomas Edison used existing products to make new or better products and he never stopped at one product. He held multiple patents for his devices and he kept trying new things.

This philosophy is what’s needed for those involved in product development. Always keep developing – always keep dreaming.

Let me present a scenario for your consideration. A business owner has what they feel is a great idea for a product launch.They have researched the idea; they have developed the product and are banking on the buzz factor for the product. They are so convinced this is THE idea they were meant to create that they invest everything in the product and do not look at additional product creation.

What happens if the product fails?

Obviously this business owner risks potential financial ruin because they did not consider a contingency plan.

You can see just how many people are searching for that type of product.
You can then go to google.com/trends to see how well that product has been doing over time. With some products you will see a high demand for the product around the time of its launch and then see the trend fall off. Other products will show more of a steady demand for the product. Other products show an upward graph as the demand for this product increases. You should promote products that are in increasing demand or are steady in demand.
